Come spend a winter week-end on the hiking trails by day and in the family cabins at Brown County State Park by night. A combination of hiking, recreation and relaxation will be a great way to get over the winter blahs.
Arrive at the cabins of Abe Martin Lodge on Friday night in time for a family style dinner followed by a night hike on the trails nearby. Afterward an outdoor bonfire or a wood fire in the cabins will provide a great way to relax and visit with your week-end companions.
Saturday morning we’ll travel to Story Inn for a delicious breakfast and then head out to the trails in the Nebo Ridge area. The views from the ridge should be beautiful through the bare trees of winter. Back at the cabins in the late afternoon we may take a soak or play on the slides at the aquatic center at the lodge. Our slow cooked meal will be waiting when we are finished with our activities.
After breakfast in the cabins on Sunday we’ll take one last hike in the Ogle Hollow before heading home.
The cost of $150 includes lodging in the cabin with up to four others, one breakfast and two dinners. Breakfast at Story, and entrance fees to the Brown County Park is at your own expense.
