SINGING! FOSSIL HUNTING! HIKING! Weekend – What do these activities have in common? Well, if you join us at Whitewater Memorial State Park on Friday March 22-Sunday March 24, you will be able to do all three. We will stay in two family cabins at Whitewater Memorial State Park, which is located in Liberty, Indiana near Brookville Lake. Group singing and music-making will be a prime feature of the weekend, and all participants are encouraged to bring any portable instruments that they may play (including spoons, sticks, shakers, etc.) and some of their favorite songs to share/teach! In between music sessions, we will go out fossil-hunting along the road cuts on the way into Brookville (where we will have lunch), and do some leisurely hiking around the park (the moon will be just past full, so night hiking would be fun).

The trip fee covers cabin lodging, firewood, 2 breakfasts (including hot coffee, teas, and cocoa) and Saturday dinner. Participants will need to pay for their own lunches in town on Saturday, their entry into the park (currently $7 or State Park pass), and will bring along their own Friday dinner (or eat before coming), a favorite snack or dessert item to share with the group during the weekend, and any cold drinks desired. Details of what personal items to bring along, when to arrive at the park, which cabins we will be using, and any other info will be sent to participants a few weeks before the trip. (Note: The cabins do have stairs up to the door from the walkway, and also to get from the living/dining area to the restroom, so they are not accessible to those who cannot do stairs.)

All trip participants must fill out and submit a CIWC Medical Form  and Long Waiver Form.
