Canoecopia at Alliant Energy Center in Madison, WI is the largest paddlesports trade show and educational symposium in the world. The show features more than 200 exhibitors, outfitters, and guides, in a 250,000 square foot exhibition hall full of canoes, kayaks, standup paddleboards, outdoor equipment, and clothing. Over 100 presentations scheduled at multiple times over the weekend will inform, entertain, and inspire you. We will be occupying two rooms at the Clarion Suites Hotel, which is connected to the convention center. The rooms are furnished with two queen beds and a sofa bed, microwave, and mini-fridge. Rooms include a complimentary full breakfast buffet, exercise room, and happy hour snacks and drinks. The trip fee does not include admission to the three-day show. The three-day weekend pass be purchased at the hotel or box office for $25.00, or may be ordered online from Rutabaga (the show sponsor) at https://www.rutabaga.com, for a discount rate of $22.00. We will travel in the CIWC van, leaving at approximately 9:30 a.m. from the northwest side of Indianapolis. We will eat lunch on the way and arrive in time to check in at the hotel by 3 p.m. The Friday show hours start at 4:00 p.m. We will leave the Alliant Energy Center in Madison, WI on Sunday afternoon around 2 p.m., and arrive home around 9 p.m.
