CIWC Annual Summer Picnic
July 9, 2017 at Bryant Creek Shelter
Morgan Monroe State Forest (Near Martinsville)
The annual summer picnic is a great time for members to assemble and share tales of their adventures. It's also when we start brainstorming for future trips. The club furnishes meat and paper goods, members bring a salad, side dish or dessert.
At 11 AM, we will meet at the Bryant Creek Shelter and go for a short hike with a short bushwhack to make it a 5 mile loop. There is a small lake for a nice easy paddle. Please make sure you canoe or kayak has a DNR sticker.
At 1 PM, we will volunteer in Lake Clean Up Project around Bryant Creek Lake as way to thank Indiana DNR. The CIWC does a lot of hiking in Morgan Monroe, so this a great opportunity to thank them with a service project.
At 3 PM, we will have pitch in style dinner. Chicken and paper goods will be provided. Bring a dish to share, and your own beverages!
Your registration will help us buy enough amount of chicken or to avoid waste.
Please register (free) to help us anticipate turnout.
